The introvert who hates being on stage turns out to be the one who remembered that detail from the briefing three hours ago.

Escape rooms cap at six to eight people per room. Ropes courses need ropes and certified instructors per station. Catering-based events turn into a logistics problem once you cross 80 guests. You end up running three shifts, and the third shift quietly notices they got the tired version.

4. Real collaboration happens, under light pressure.
The point of a team building event isn't just entertainment. It's to change how people work with each other after they go home.
That requires a specific kind of pressure. Too little, and it's a guided stroll. Too much, and people get defensive and fall back into the exact roles they play in Monday meetings.
Treasure hunts sit in the right zone. There's a timer, but it isn't crushing. There are decisions, but nothing catastrophic if you pick wrong. Teams have to split up, regroup, argue, and commit — the same moves they make at work, compressed into a few hours with much lower stakes.
